Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about MTProxy
Everything you need to know about Telegram MTProto proxies: safety, troubleshooting connection errors, and difference with VPN.
1 What is MTProxy and how does it differ from a standard VPN?
MTProxy is a specialized protocol engineered by Telegram. It routes only Telegram network traffic, using almost zero CPU overhead and providing higher speeds with end-to-end encryption.
2 Is it safe to use free public MTProto proxies?
Yes, 100% safe. All Telegram data is encrypted. Proxy operators cannot inspect, tamper with, or read your messages or media.
3 Why do some proxies stop connecting or show errors?
Public servers may experience ISP blocks or heavy traffic. Our automated checker verifies latency and alive status every few minutes to ensure top uptime.
4 How to connect on mobile devices (Android / iOS)?
Just tap the 'Connect' button next to any server in our list, and Telegram will immediately prompt you to activate it.
